badesaba: Sandbag Shelter, designed by Nader Khalili (1936-2008)  the Earthbag shelter, which was recognized with the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2004 : when these sandbags are covered with wire mesh and stucco, they become low-cost permanent housing.
